Our Services: Consultancy

The Education Expertise Exchange Network (E3Net) has a very flexible approach that can articulate with a variety of demands and constraints.

We recognise that strategic initiatives are complex and therefore require a great deal of flexibility in analysis and implementation.  Our consultants have a variety of formal processes and techniques at their disposal and, most importantly, they have the maturity and judgement to select the correct approach for a given situation.  This allows us to work closely with clients to achieve the desired outcome, rather than simply to provide a report that becomes the responsibility of others.

Because of this outcome focus, we prefer our consulancy work to be structured within a long-term relationship with clients.  While we can deliver specific projects to tight timescales, our preferred model is to develop a core contract with broad set of goals and to deliver projects within this framework. As we have a collegiate approach, working with E3Net in this way provides a flexible “one stop shop” for all educational advice and management.

To ensure effective delivery, E3Net uses the Sunningdale consultancy model (BS3375) to manage the overall engagement with the client.  The stages of this model are:

Entry Stage  Meeting the client and exploring the issue

Contract Stage Agreeing Terms of Reference, constraints and success measures

Analysis Interviews, Observations, Measurement, Documentation and Evaluation

Diagnosis Identifying core questions and solutions

Planning for Action Options, costings, testing and reporting of conclusions

Implementation Proposals for implementing any changes, support and review
